Photo Call!
Exciting news is coming about a new project for our younger members. It’s all thanks to the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.
We are getting all the details finalised, and we will be formally announcing the project in September 2020 for an October 2020 start.
Before we can start shouting about our new project we need the help of our awesome community.
To better advertise our services, promote awareness, build our website and enhance our profile, we need lots of different images of people with Down’s syndrome, their families and their friends. We are building a bank of high quality shots, that we can dip into when we are producing new material, or sharing social media posts. We love sharing the photos we have, but we want to show more diversity and a wider range of the people we support.
We are looking for a range of photos from a variety of age groups. We need active and posed pictures. Pictures that show joy, frustration, friendship, family bonds, laughter, tears, anger and humour. Any pictures that show the diversity of activities our children and young people get involved with, things like scouts, gymnastics, social clubs, nights out, computer games and school friends.
Any photos of children, young people or young adults reading, or doing maths activities at all stages is something we really need. We want to show the real picture, we want people of different ability levels to get involved and show us what you can do. If you have any short (less than 20 sec) video clips you are happy to share, those would be great too.
The main thing is to start sharing more of our community with the world.
IMPORTANT:
