Summer Speech Club 2026!

We are excited to announce the return of Speech Club this Summer!

Working once again with Symbol, we will be providing highly specialised speech therapy and communication skill-based workshops for Kent-based children aged 7 - 11 years with Down’s syndrome (approximate age, depending on the child).

Places are allocated using a mix of first come, first served, as well as a need to balance the levels of support in the sessions. Unfortunately, we have limited spaces and cannot guarantee everyone a place - we want to make sure the children who attend all have the chance to shine!

Parents will receive short written feedback once Speech Club has ended, outlining what their young person has been doing and how they got on.

DATES:

29th-31st July 2026 inclusive.

All dates must be attended.

TIME:

10:00-15:00

Children will stay for lunch - a packed lunch will need to be provided and sent in on a daily basis with the child.

Fruit snacks will be provided during the day.

THEME:

This year's theme is Summer Safety. We will be exploring the importance of staying safe during the warmer months, including using sunscreen, staying hydrated, and seeking shade to protect ourselves from the sun.

We will also be looking at water safety, covering both swimming pools and the seaside. Topics will include how to stay safe in and around water, understanding potential hazards, and learning about the use of flotation devices and other water safety aids.

COST:

£50 per day (£150 for the 3-day camp). All dates must be attended (barring sickness).
