21 Together run a variety of different group sessions, from regular Saturday sessions to school holiday camps.
Speech and language groups focussed on social communication for children who require small group work. These groups start from those starting school at four and can cover all school aged children and young people.
These are communication-focussed social groups for young people with Down’s syndrome aged 11 to early 20s. Following on from speech and language therapy groups for younger children, these sessions focus on communication, relationships, community and identity.
Holiday Communication Camps
These are intensive three day sessions in the Easter and Summer holidays for children and young people. The themes of the camps will vary but they are all run by Symbol UK Ltd therapists with 21 Together staff available to support. This provides the children and young people with a more intensive environment to work on speech, social skills, friendships, appropriate behaviour and social interaction.
Places are allocated from our waiting lists, so please get in touch if you would like to be considered.
Sing and sign
21 Together are committed to helping build the best environment for communication for our children and young people. Signing is central to that so we have teamed up with Juliete to bring sign and sign to our groups. The groups are specifically for pre-school children and babies with Down’s syndrome and their siblings. The charity covers the vast majority of the cost to enable families to get signing and meet other new families at the same time.
