Makaton Signing for Babies - Play and Stay Sessions

21 Together are hosting Stella Rogers, a fully qualified Makaton tutor, to run a six week Play and Stay programme. Makaton Signing for Babies (MSB) is for parents, family members or carers who would like to sign with babies and children in their care. These sessions are designed for you and your child to have fun and learn together.

Content

Makaton Signing for Babies training is a series of sessions designed to encourage the development of communication and language skills in babies and toddlers. All the sessions are fun and interactive for you and your child. You will learn approximately 100 signs and symbols using songs, games and activities.

Duration, Dates and Times

Day: Saturday

Time: 10:00am

Duration of Programme: 6 weeks, approx 1 hour sessions with a longer first session to allow welcomes and introductions

Starting: Saturday 3rd October 2020

Entry criteria

No previous experience of Makaton is necessary.

Cost Entry

21 Together are covering the whole cost of this so it is free, however we only have spaces for 8 families to attend. Due to the significant cost to the charity we do ask people to commit to attending all the sessions, as we have to buy a place for each family.

Study materials

You will receive a Makaton Signing for Babies Pocket Book which has the signs and symbols you have learned during the sessions. You will also be given a certificate of attendance. Please review the Confidentiality Statement regarding posting of resources/certificates.
