This course is open to anyone in KENT, who cares for and/or works directly with, a child or young person with Down’s syndrome.

Dr Liz Corcoran is a functional medicine doctor and is also the chair of the Down's Syndrome Research Foundation.
Colette Lloyd is a Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Down’s syndrome, who has worked closely with 21 Together many times, supporting our groups and events.
During the webinar, Dr. Corcoran will discuss the underlying causes of picky and tricky eating and how a functional medicine approach can help to address them. She will provide insight into the role of gut health, nutrient deficiencies, and food sensitivities in feeding difficulties and offer guidance on how to optimize your child's nutrition to support their growth and development.
Colette Lloyd will focus on the speech and language aspects of feeding challenges and provide practical tips and strategies for promoting oral motor development, improving chewing and swallowing skills, and increasing food variety. She will also discuss how to address sensory issues related to food preferences and how to make mealtime a positive and enjoyable experience for both parents and children.
