Empowerment Session - iASK Options for Post 16 transition
Come and join us for our next Empowerment Session.
These are designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools to best support your children and young people. Aimed at those with children of school age and beyond we will have regular speakers to provide expert guidance on various areas of social care and support. Helping you access the support required from 21 Together staff, guest speakers and other parents/carers that may have been there before you!
For this Empowerment session we are delighted to host iASK who will be guiding us through a workshop to help us understand options for post 16 transition.

Overview and Purpose:
Based on the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Code of Practice you will gain an understanding of:
Post 16 transition options and the term ‘preparing for adulthood’ and how it starts in year 9
Post 16 education and the support that is available in mainstream colleges
The transfer of decision-making rights to young people
We are sorry but this course is not suitable for children to attend.
