What will the session cover?

Everything you need to know about appealing the contents of an EHCP, including educational placement.

An Education and Health Care (EHC) plan is a legally binding document on a Local Authority which sets out, amongst other things, a child or young person’s special educational needs, the special educational provision for that child or young person and provides information as to the educational placement that child or young person is to attend.  Parents/carers/young people have a right to appeal to the SEND Tribunal if they are not happy with the contents of a finalised EHC plan. This webinar looks at when that right of appeal is provided, the deadline for bringing such an appeal, and what specific EHC plan content can be appealed. This webinar looks at the SEND Tribunal process and what can be expected from that route of redress. It also provides top tips in being successful at such appeal.

Followed by a short opportunity for Q&A.

Please note this session will be recorded. Zoom Links will be sent to you via email, prior to the workshop.
