Overview and Purpose:

This training day includes an overview of the learning profile associated with Down’s syndrome and its implications for social-emotional development and behaviour. We will focus on promoting social inclusion and independence as well as the importance of developing social strengths, friendships and play skills.  Behaviour issues which may affect learning and inclusion will be addressed together with practical examples and strategies of how to manage these behaviours when they occur.
