5,000 Miles
On 1st June 2020, our long-standing friends at The O’Keefe Group, turned 50 years old! To celebrate the team took on the challenge to walk a collective 5,000 miles and raise £15,000 throughout June in support of three well-deserving charities.
During the #okeefe5000 challenge 113 staff members and families walked a total of 5,461.12 miles! Patrick O’Keefe himself kicked off the 1st mile and even walked a socially distanced half-marathon with some friends. The first place prize went to a family who walked 228.93 miles, with staff in Macedonia also taking part! Impressive feats were undertaken by many during this challenge including;
The longest group walk by Chris Papuc, who along with some family & friends walked 63.91 miles in a day.
Mandy Seculer, did the longest individual walk and took the long way round to get milk walking 16.05 miles.
Michael Louth and his children throughout June walked to school every day, totalling 173 miles – amazing for the little legs!
We at 21 Together are just so thankful that, even though the world was in chaos, and we were in the middle of a pandemic, the O’Keefe team persevered, beat their target and raised a whopping £5,653.18 just for 21 Together.
