21 Together Supports Learn and Thrive’s “Teach Me Too”
At 21 Together, we are passionate about providing tailored support for children and young people with Down's syndrome across Kent. Our mission is to empower individuals with the skills they need to thrive in every area of life, from early years through to young adulthood.
In these sessions, Trina engaged with a group of young children, using a range of sensory-rich, interactive activities that made learning engaging and accessible. She skillfully incorporated Makaton signing to ensure all children could fully participate and understand, regardless of their communication levels or needs. This is just one of the many techniques our team uses to make learning inclusive and impactful.
Supporting All Ages, 0-25: A Community-Based Approach
21 Together’s intervention groups play a vital role in supporting children and young people from 0 to 25 years old within Kent’s Down’s syndrome community. These groups are designed to provide personalized learning and development plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual. Whether it’s introducing foundational concepts in early childhood or providing more advanced learning strategies as young people approach adulthood; our goal is to ensure each individual reaches their full potential.
We are proud to say that our education team is highly trained in supporting children with Down’s syndrome. Our specialists use a combination of strategies that are not only proven to be effective but are also built around the specific learning profile of each child. We don’t just teach—we connect with our community and meet them where they are, creating an environment of understanding and growth.
