Anna says she is hosting this event in our honour because "I have a 23 months old baby girl Sophia who has Down’s syndrome. One of the team came round to see us to offer support before Sophia was born which helped us dealing with some of our anxieties. Since then we have learnt a lot about Down’s syndrome by using resources provided by 21 Together. They are a fantastic charity and we feel very lucky to have their support."

Parallel, the world’s first inclusive mass participation event is set to return on 28 June 2020 in Windsor Great Park. Parallel Windsor will become the organiser’s new flagship event; which will host its range of multiple distances; 100m, 1K, 5K, 10K and the innovative Super Sensory 1K. The format of the event will also include a free to attend fully accessible festival of inclusivity.
The last event was an fantastic event. So inspiring, emotional and fun. The families and all their supporters had such an awesome day. The 1KM super sensory provides sensory stops every 100m with things like bubble stations, light box shows, music, and even a sensory garden purgola. Keeping the participants motivated and engaged while they complete their 1KM, no time limits, no pressure, just everyone together, no matter who they are, what their disability is, we are in it together. If you think that is too much or not enough you can sign up for the 100m, 5KM and 10KM instead. Something for everyone.

POSTPONED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST - MORE INFO AND NEW DATES COMING SOON
Could you be part of something special?
Come and join us for bubbles and pizza (other options available too) in Canterbury.
21 Together are looking to create some small local fundraising committees. Just a few local families who are happy to get together every couple of months and organise small community based fundraising events.
Bake sales, school fair, quiz nights, boot fair or any other type of fun activity that works in your community.
You will have admin support from the office team and would link back to a trustee, but we want the local teams to really take ownership of their group. We are hoping that the groups will link up families, raise awareness and hopefully raise some funds for the charity at the same time.
We are starting in Canterbury but when we see who comes along and is interested we will endeavour to make some smaller local groups so people aren't travelling all over the county. To do this we would like lots of families to get on board, the more we have the less work involved for everyone.
Why not come along and find out what it is all about. No obligation to join a local fundraising committee if you don't think it is for you after the evening.
Dragon Boat Racing
Dragon Boat Racing
Raising funds for 21 Together
An annual dragon boat challenge is staged by the KM Charity Team to help charitable groups with their fundraising.
Teams of 11 compete with one of the crew beating a drum to dictate the pace of the paddles. They take part in a minimum of three races but the fastest teams compete in the finals at the end of the day. You may have up to 17 rowers in your squad, so fill all 17 spaces to raise more money and everyone will have at least 2 races on the day.
It is a challenge for those who wish to savour the ancient traditions of the dragon boat, as much as for those who want to test their strength and rowing technique by travelling across the 250m course in the fastest time. It is also a day for spectators as well as for people taking part.
