Summer Speech Club 2024 - Registration Open!

We are excited to announce the return of Speech Club 2024 this Summer! Having received some fantastic feedback following the new format at Easter Speech Club, we are keen to get cracking on round two!

Working once again with Symbol Connect UK, we will be providing highly specialised speech therapy and communication skill-based workshops for Kent-based children aged 4 - 11 years with Down’s syndrome (approximate age, depending on the child).

Places are allocated using a mix of first come, first served, as well as a need to balance the levels of support in the sessions. Unfortunately, we have limited spaces and cannot guarantee everyone a place - we want to make sure the children who attend all have the chance to shine!

You will be notified by the end of June if your child has gained a space at Speech Club.

Parents will receive some short written feedback following the club, outlining what their young person has been doing and how they got on.

DATES:

7th August - 9th August 2024 inclusive.

All dates must be attended.

TIME:

10:00-15:00

Children will stay for lunch - this will need to be sent in on a daily basis with the child.

Fruit snacks will be provided during the day.

LOCATION:

Maidstone Community Support Centre, Marsham Street, Maidstone, ME14 1HH

COST:

£35 per day (£105 for the 3-day camp). All dates must be attended (barring sickness).

Please be aware that photos will be taken at Speech Club. These could be used on our social media, website, written feedback or funding applications. If you do not want your child to be included in photos, please inform a member of staff when you arrive.
